A resin detail set from Aires in 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but an accessory — a set of underwing pylons (weapon pylons) for the American Cessna A-37 Dragonfly light attack aircraft. The set is made to improve the plastic kit by Trumpeter, which you have to have separately. The accurately cast pylons raise the fidelity of the external stores compared with the parts from the base kit.
The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly was an American light attack and counter-insurgency aircraft derived from the T-37 trainer. It was powered by two jet engines and carried its weapons on underwing pylons. It was committed above all during the Vietnam War for attacks on ground targets and for close air support; thanks to its low weight and simple maintenance it served long with other users as well.
For modelers who are building the A-37 Dragonfly by Trumpeter and want a more faithful rendering of the underwing pylons. It calls for basic experience of working with resin. Without the matching base kit the set has no use on its own.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
