Two finished model trees from the German maker HEKI nineteen centimeters tall. The ash is one of the mature deciduous trees with a high-set crown and a straight trunk, so on a model it comes across as a dominant tree, not as part of a thicket. How to work with the trees

A tree is stuck into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. On a tall tree stability matters more than on small pieces, so make the hole deeper and fix the trunk in it with a drop of glue. Add a grass tuft or a low bush under the crown so that the transition from the ground is not abrupt. If the crown is flattened after unpacking, spread it out to the sides carefully with your fingers.
