HEKI Chestnuts 20 cm, 2 pcs are two mature trees with a massive vaulted crown.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, twenty centimeters tall. The horse chestnut, commonly called a chestnut, has a dense, evenly vaulted crown set fairly low, so on a layout it looks massive and takes up more room than a poplar of the same height. A pair of such trees is typical of the entrance to a farmstead, of a village green or of a manor avenue, where chestnuts were planted in pairs and rows.
The trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. With twenty-centimeter pieces carrying a dense crown, make the hole deeper and fix the trunk with a drop of glue, otherwise the tree will lean over time under the weight of the crown. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers after unpacking and leave the outline of the crown slightly irregular. Add grass under the trees, or trodden earth instead if people are to stand beneath them.
For layout and diorama builders who need a massive tree as a landmark, and for modelers fine-tuning the surroundings of buildings and village greens. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
