Static grass from Heki in a forest floor color mix. The fiber length is 5 to 6 mm and the package holds 75 g. The material is intended for dioramas and layouts alike, and the shade aims at growth under the crowns of trees, where grass grows sparsely and toward brown.
In the electrostatic field of an applicator the fibers stand up on end and dry upright in the glue. That is exactly what sets static grass apart from scatter, which stays lying flat. A height of 5 to 6 mm corresponds in 1:87 scale to growth roughly 44 to 52 cm tall, that is to last year's grass and weeds, not to a mown lawn.
For builders of dioramas and layouts alike who want their grassy areas to have relief and not just to be green. A 75 g package will do for a decent area, so it suits larger scenes too. Without an applicator the fibers can also be sprinkled on by hand, but the result is flatter and reads more as dry litter than as growth.
The package holds static grass only. The glue, an applicator and a surface are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
