Heki dark green foam granulate in a coarser grain, intended as foliage for trees, bushes and growth on a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
Foam granulate is the basic raw material of greenery on a diorama. In itself it represents nothing; only once it is sprinkled onto a tree armature or onto a terrain surface does it form leaf mass with an irregular edge that does not look like a merged area. The dark green tone corresponds to leaves in shade and in the depth of a crown, which is why it suits a bottom layer onto which paler green is then lightly sprinkled. That creates the depth a single green color never gives.
The qualifier in the name indicates a coarser grain. A larger grain holds its shape and is visible individually, so it suits tree crowns, bushes, scrub by a road and growth that is to read as varied from a distance. For closely cut grass or fine moss a coarse grain is too pronounced; there, reach for a finer grain.
First coat the area or the twigs with glue, most often white PVA thinned with water, and sprinkle the granulate onto them from above between your fingers or through a sieve. Let it dry thoroughly and only then turn the diorama over and tap the excess out onto paper; the granulate collected can be used again. You will manage the color shading by sprinkling a second shade onto the lit sides of a crown only. Work over a mat, as a fine grain runs all over the table.
The granulate alone is supplied. The glue, tree armatures, a base and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
