A set of four pieces of the Javelin anti-tank missile system in 1:35 scale for figures and present-day scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
Behind the name Javelin lies the American portable anti-tank missile system FGM-148. It consists of a reusable guidance unit and of a missile housed in a launch container, which the operator sets aside after firing. The gunner works alone or in a pair, launches from the shoulder and, thanks to the fire-and-forget principle, does not have to keep tracking the target. The missile climbs and strikes from above, where the armor is thinnest. A soft launch moreover allows firing from an enclosed space, which matters in built-up areas.
According to the name it is four pieces in 1:35 scale. These are accessories to figures and to equipment; the set does not make up a model on its own.
Pick the small parts up with tweezers and degrease them before painting, or the paint will not hold. Carry out the preparation and gluing according to the manufacturer's instructions. Choose exclusively matte shades and leave the gloss out altogether. Bring the shape out with a fine light cast on the edges and leave the shadow in the recessed places. Always try a weapon in the hands of a figure dry first: the angle of the arms is hard to change once the glue has dried. Pieces set aside in terrain look convincing when you lean them against an obstacle and add a little dust near the ground.
The set is for modelers of present-day scenes and for builders of infantry figures. Figures, a model, paints and glue are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
