What the set is for

A bathroom is among the rooms that are usually only suggested on a diorama. And yet it is exactly complete sanitary fittings that turn a cutaway house into a living space: by them a viewer immediately recognizes where a room begins and what it served for, even if barely half of it is left.

What the set contains

The set includes a bathtub, a washbasin and a toilet bowl in 1:35 scale, rendered in resin. Three pieces are enough to furnish one whole room, or they can be divided between two smaller scenes.

Building and painting tips

Resin is not joined by cement for polystyrene; use super glue or epoxy and try the joint dry beforehand. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry. Think the layout through before you lay the first piece down: the washbasin and the bowl should have room for pipework beside them, or they look suspended in mid air. A white surface is brought to life by a dark wash into the edges and a fine suggestion of limescale around the drains, though traces of age should be metered out sparingly.

The set is intended for builders of interior dioramas and for modelers who are building a cutaway building, a ruin or a cleared apartment and need furnishing items in the right scale. It will also serve as the background for a figure scene. A model, a building, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
