A pair of beds turns an empty room into a lived-in space. A billet, a barrack room, hospital premises or an improvised place to sleep in a cleared house: everywhere there a bed with a mattress becomes the natural center of a scene and establishes how the room is lived in.
The package contains two beds and two mattresses in 1:35 scale. The basis is parts of resin, complemented by photo-etched elements. A mattress can be laid on the frame or away from it, leaned against a wall or rolled up into a corner.
Resin does not react to cement for polystyrene; make the joints with super glue or epoxy. Separate the photo-etched elements with a sharp knife on a hard surface and degrease them before gluing, or neither paint nor glue will hold. Put the whole assembly together dry first, so that you know how much room the beds will take up in the room. When painting, set the mattress apart from the frame in shade and in texture; a dark wash into the folds and fine dry brushing on the edges will create the impression of used cloth.
The set is intended for builders of interior dioramas and for modelers who are furnishing accommodation, a field hospital or an abandoned building and are looking for furnishings in the right scale. A model, figures, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
