A hand shopping basket is a small thing that the eye does not look for on a diorama, yet accepts at once as a matter of course. Stacked at the entrance to a shop, set down between the shelves or dropped on the pavement, it gives a scene a civilian character faster than any sign in a window.
The package consists of six shopping baskets in 1:35 scale, printed from resin. Direct printing suits exactly the thin mesh of the walls and the slender handles, that is shapes that in this scale are on the edge of visibility. The parts are correspondingly fragile.
Working with printed resin has several fixed steps:
Six pieces allow you to work with variety. Some of the baskets can be stacked into a column at the entrance, others left standing around the scene and one laid on its side. A dirtied bottom and scuffed handles will give away that this is a piece in everyday use, not a new delivery.
The set is aimed at builders of civilian and city dioramas in 1:35 scale, and it will also serve in scenes of postwar reconstruction or humanitarian aid. A model, figures, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
