A printed set of 264 blocks of Kontakt-1 explosive reactive armor, the type 1 version, in 1:35 scale. It will do even for a vehicle with a densely covered turret and side skirts.
Responsibility details are not available.
Kontakt-1 is Soviet first-generation explosive reactive armor (ERA), introduced in the 1980s. A vehicle tends to be covered with it in dense rows over the turret, over the front of the hull and over the side skirts, so it changes the silhouette of the machine more than any other accessory. The T-64, T-72 and T-80 tanks carry it in versions with add-on protection.
Two hundred sixty-four printed blocks in 1:35 scale in the version designated as type 1. Such a count is enough even for a vehicle covered around its whole perimeter and it leaves a reserve for parts that get lost or damaged during the work.
Lay the arrangement out dry according to a photograph of the real machine and only then glue, or a gap will be left at the end of a row. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully; with that number of small parts it pays to work over a tray, so that the blocks you cut off do not get lost. The parts are not polystyrene and ordinary cement for plastic will not join them; use super glue. Wash and degrease them before painting. It pays to paint them separately, before gluing them on, because narrow gaps are left between blocks once they are in place.
The kit of the vehicle, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
