An injection-molded plastic kit of a medieval siege tower in 1:72 scale. The model represents a multi-story mobile tower with a drop bridge of the kind used when storming fortified towns and castles. It suits historical dioramas as a striking element and goes with figures and armies of the matching scale.
Siege towers were basic equipment of besieging armies for centuries. They served to overcome the walls — under the protection of a wooden structure and leather or wicker covers the attackers reached the top of the wall and broke inside across the drop bridge. The tower was pushed up to the fortification on wheels or rollers.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic. The wooden structure comes alive with a brown base coat, glazes and dry-brushing that brings out the grain of the planks. Tune the leather and cloth covers with muted shades and fine weathering. The model goes well with figures of attackers.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
