A broken house wall in 1:35 scale as a scenic accessory. A foreground that frames a scene and at the same time lets you look into it.
Responsibility details are not available.
A damaged wall has a different task in a scene from a whole facade. It does not work as a background but as a frame: it is placed in the foreground, it bounds the view and through the breach it lets you see what is going on behind it. That is how depth arises, which a flat set piece cannot create. At the same time it is an element whose making by hand rarely succeeds at the first attempt, because a fracture has a logic of its own and a wall breaks along its weak places, not just anywhere.
Before painting, wash the element, degrease it and let it dry. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the mark down. With a ruin, the seating into the base matters more than the painting: sink the foot below the level of the terrain and cover the transition with rubble and dust, or the wall will look as though it were merely standing laid on a board. Mix the rubble from several grain sizes and paint it in place, so that it goes with the wall. Bring the fracture edges out with a light dry brush, and the seams and the shadows on the contrary with a dark wash. When ordering, go by the manufacturer code, because other walls with similar names exist.
For builders of combat and city scenes in 1:35 scale who want to work with depth and a foreground. Paints, glue and the loose materials for the rubble are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
