Barbed wire is among the elements that tell a story by themselves in a scene. They close a space off, hinder movement and give figures a reason why they are going exactly this way. At the same time it is an element unforgiving of scale: coarse wire in 1:35 looks like a rope, and only fine wire gives a scene believability.
The set brings barbed wire for 1:35 scale with a total length of 1660 mm, which is enough for several meters of fencing in model scale. The version and the material are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; choose the tool for cutting and the glue accordingly. The posts are not included; they are prepared from a strip or from wire.
First stand the posts up and let them dry, and only then stretch the wire; the opposite order usually ends with the whole fence pulled down. Lead the wire between the posts with a slight sag, while at a barrier roll it up on the contrary into loose loops that do not touch the ground along their whole length. Degrease the surface before painting and lay down a base paint. Build the rust up from a dark tone toward a lighter one and let it run down the posts.
It suits builders of dioramas of both world wars and of modern conflicts, and everywhere a scene needs to be bounded. The model, figures, a base, posts, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
