Photo-etched grilles for models of the Soviet T-34 tank in 1:35 scale. They replace the suggested grille on the cover of the engine compartment with a part that has an open pattern.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-34 is the most widespread Soviet medium tank of the Second World War. It has its engine and radiators at the rear and air flows to them through openings on the cover of the engine compartment and in the rear of the hull. These grilles are clearly visible on the T-34 and on a model it is the place where the impression of the whole rear is decided: on the real machine there is darkness and depth under the grille, whereas the plastic part tends to be solid and has the texture only engraved in its surface.
This is a photo-etched set in 1:35 scale. The parts lie on a flat fret and are attached to it by thin tabs, which are cut through before building. According to the name they are intended for the T-34 tank. Lay the parts on the model before gluing and check the application in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the fret with a sharp blade against a hard surface and sand the remainders of the tabs down. Make the bends over the edge of a ruler or in a bending tool. For gluing use super glue in a small amount; cement for polystyrene will not join these parts. The plastic grille of the model usually has to be cut out or sanded flat under the new part. Degrease the surface before painting and spray it with a base paint, so that the coat holds; an open grille then stands out well after a dark shading and a light dusting.
This is an accessory set for a model. The kit, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
