Responsibility details are not available.
The Kyushu K11W Shiragiku was a single-engined trainer aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy of the time of the Second World War. Its name translates as white chrysanthemum. It did not serve for the basic training of pilots but for preparing whole crews of bomber aircraft, that is navigators, bombardiers, radio operators and gunners. The form of the machine matches that: a deep fuselage with an extensively glazed compartment in which several people fitted side by side as well as one behind another, and a radial engine of moderate power. Among the combat types it is a subject one does not come across on the shelf just like that.
Plastic parts on sprues and building instructions, 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The choice of markings for particular machines is given in the instructions enclosed in the kit.
The glazing of the cockpit is the main thing a viewer looks at on this aircraft, so it pays to give time to the interior and the frames. Finish the interior and close it up before you start sanding the seams on the fuselage. Glue the clear parts with a product intended for clear parts; ordinary cyanoacrylate glue will fog them. Mask the frames before spraying and apply the paint in thin layers. Try every part dry before gluing.
For a modeler with an interest in Japanese aviation who is looking for a subject other than the usual fighters. Paints, glue and accessories are not included, unless stated otherwise.
