Honda Z50J Gorilla '78 Custom Takegawa Ver.1 1:12 is a plastic kit of the modified Honda Gorilla minibike from Aoshima.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Aoshima in 1:12 scale captures the Honda Gorilla Z50J minibike of 1978 converted to Takegawa specification, version 1. The model combines plastic parts with rubber tires, clear parts for the lights, selected chromed components and a decal sheet for the details.
The Honda Gorilla is a small motorcycle derived from the legendary Honda Monkey, built with variations over many decades. Unlike the Monkey it has folding handlebars and a larger tank. Its simple, hard-wearing construction makes it a popular basis for tuning, of which this Takegawa conversion is one example.
Glue the parts with thin plastic cement. The frame and the engine come out best once painted and lightly shaded, and the chromed parts and the glossy tank once smoothed and lacquered. Rubber tires and vinyl tubing add realism, and the decals go onto a dampened surface prepared with varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
