The Antonov An-22 Antei is a plastic kit of the giant Soviet turboprop transport aircraft in 1:144 scale from A&A Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from the Ukrainian brand A&A Models. The model captures one of the largest turboprop aircraft in history, and even in this small scale it is a sizable piece for the table. The package holds plastic sprues and decals; the exact contents are given on the packaging.
The Antonov An-22 Antei was introduced in the middle of the 1960s as a heavy strategic transport. It is powered by four powerful turboprop engines, each with a pair of contra-rotating propellers, which give the aircraft its characteristic sound as well as its look. The Antei was able to carry armored vehicles, missiles and oversized loads over long distances and became the pride of Soviet transport aviation. The tall fins and the massive fuselage make the model a conspicuous centerpiece of a collection.
Before closing the fuselage up, check the fit of the large halves and weigh them down if needed. Glue the plastic with thin liquid cement, and sand and fill the joints. Apply the base shades with an airbrush and mask the cabin glazing. Given the size of the model, strengthening the wing joint and the landing gear is recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
