Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set for models of the T-34/85 medium tank in Polish army service, this time in the large 1:16 scale. The name gives the vehicle with the number 102 and the name RUDY and the unit 1st Arm.Brigade. It is an accessory to a finished painted model, not a kit. The maker is WEIKERT DECALS.
The T-34/85 is the last major line of development of the Soviet T-34 medium tank. The larger three-man turret with an 85 mm gun relieved the commander of his double role as commander and gunner and noticeably improved performance against armored targets. Polish units formed in the east received these tanks from 1944 and used them for a number of postwar years as well. The vehicle with the number 102 is among the best-known Polish tank subjects of all and is part of popular culture there.
Large motifs fold over easily on a model, so handle them differently from small markings. Coat the surface with gloss varnish and let it dry thoroughly. Dip the decal in warm water only briefly and carry it, still on its paper backing, straight to the spot, from where you slide it off with a soft brush. Press the water out from the center toward the edges so that no air stays under the film. Then apply a softener to the edges and, once dry, unify the surface with a matte varnish.
