An injection-molded plastic kit of the Opel Blitz truck in the civilian postwar version, in 1:24 scale from the Italian maker Italeri. The box contains plastic parts, rubber parts, waterslide decals and instructions; the decals offer two marking options. The finished model measures about 249 mm. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Opel Blitz was built at the plant in Rüsselsheim from the beginning of the 1930s, and its reliable design proved itself so well that it was made with changes right up to the 1970s. During the Second World War the Wehrmacht used it extensively in both the 4x2 and the 4x4 versions; after the war it became one of the pillars of the rebuilding of Germany, carrying goods for traders, craftsmen and industrialists. The Classic version captures its civilian, postwar form.
Build and paint the frame and the cab in subassemblies, so that you can reach all the details. Polish the painted cab with a gloss varnish and treat the chrome parts separately. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, apply a primer before painting and spray the paint ideally with an airbrush. Settle the waterslide decals onto a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
