The Racing Hart Type CR is a Japanese rim with a pronounced spoked pattern of the kind seen on modified cars of the Japanese scene. In 1:24 scale a nineteen-inch rim works out at a diameter of roughly twenty millimeters, so on a model it looks generous and noticeably changes both the overall character of the car and how it sits above the road.
The package holds four rims, four tires and a small sheet of decals. The set belongs to the Aoshima range of accessories intended for modifying car models, and the wheels can be used as a replacement for the kit's original wheels. The mounting on the axle may not fit every kit without work, so try the fit dry first and adjust the stub to size if needed.
Cut away excess material with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the rest, so that the circular outline of the rim is left untouched. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry; paint holds considerably better on a degreased surface. Rims spray best in thin coats, because metallic shades accentuate every irregularity in the base. Leave the tires in a matte shade and finish the sidewall lettering with the decals, which you settle onto a smooth surface and then flatten off once dry.
