A model of a small Japanese car in 1:24 scale. Two subjects from the late 1970s are covered, the Suzuki Alto SS30V and the Suzuki Cervo SS20 of 1979.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Suzuki Alto and the Suzuki Cervo belong to the class of smallest Japanese cars, for which local regulations set the maximum permitted dimensions and engine displacement. Their looks follow directly from those limits: short overhangs, small wheels, a high proportion of glass and an utterly straightforward body with no adornment. The Alto appeared in 1979 as a practical, utility-minded car for everyday driving, while the Cervo is a slightly older two-door coupe with a hatchback rear, that is an attempt to give the same class a sportier face. Side by side they show how differently the same technical constraints could be interpreted.
This is a car model in 1:24 scale, that is in the usual size of collectible car models. The scope of the delivery, the number of parts and which of the two versions can be built follow the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
On a car it is the body that decides. Wash and degrease it before painting, sand down the marks left by production and polish the surface, because a gloss coat emphasizes every imperfection. Apply the paint in several light coats and let it cure properly before you polish it. Glue the glazing with cement intended for clear parts, as ordinary glue will fog it. Fit the wheels last of all and check that the car stands on all four of them.
A car model is what is supplied. Paints, glue, filler and polishing compound are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
