An injection-molded plastic kit with multimedia parts capturing the Volkswagen Polo R WRC rally car of 2015 in 1:24 scale from the Belgian maker Belkits. Besides the plastic, the kit holds photo-etched and metal parts, rubber tires and fabric seat belts, thanks to which a very detailed model comes about. It offers the versions of the cars that won the Monte Carlo Rally 2015. It is a more demanding build for more advanced modelers.
The Volkswagen Polo R WRC was a World Rally Car class competition special with which the Volkswagen Motorsport factory team dominated the World Rally Championship in the mid-2010s. It opened the 2015 season with a win at the prestigious Monte Carlo Rally. The car combined the compact body of the Polo with all-wheel drive and a turbocharged engine and was among the most successful machines of its era.
Because of the photo-etched and metal parts, count on super glue (cyanoacrylate) alongside ordinary cement for plastic. Spray the body over a primer and finish it with a gloss varnish. Build and paint the interior with the roll cage and the seats before closing it up. Transfer the extensive sponsor decals onto a smooth varnish and go over them with varnish once dry. Fit the rubber tires only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
