The AIM-9M Sidewinder in 1:32 scale from Reskit will add modern underwing armament to models of machines from the end of the Cold War.

This item is a supplementary set of underwing missiles in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft, but a refinement of the armament that is hung under the wings of a model already built. The Reskit brand runs this group of goods systematically, and a modeler can put together a whole load of external stores from it.
The AIM-9M represents the mature form of the whole family from the 1980s. Its seeker head manages a lock-on from various directions, not only from behind, and it is markedly more resistant to flares and to a warm terrain background. Its motor was reworked so that it left less smoke and did not give the carrier away. In this form the missile reached the conflicts in the Persian Gulf and it stayed the standard armament of Western fighters for a very long time.
Modern ordnance tends to have a sober color scheme, and the small technical lettering stands out on it all the more. If you reach for decals, lay them on a glossy base and fix them with a matte varnish. Fit the missiles right at the very end of the build, when the model no longer needs turning in the hand. Before the glue sets, level the distance from the wing according to one fixed point on both sides.
