Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Vought F4U-1D Corsair carrier fighter from Revell in the large 1:32 scale. The model features a textured surface, a well detailed radial engine and the option of building it with the wings folded. A pilot figure and decals for the US Navy are usually included — check the actual contents against the manufacturer's information.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War, easily recognized by its inverted gull wing and its big Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine. The F4U-1D version received universal pylons for a drop tank and unguided rockets, which made it an effective fighter-bomber in the closing stages of the war in the Pacific.
In the large 1:32 scale, finish the cockpit and the engine first — the radial engine is rewarding for detail work and weathering before you close the cowling. Decide in advance whether you will build the wings spread or folded. Mask the glazing. Use liquid cement on the plastic, spray the surface with a base coat and apply the paints with an airbrush; paint the pylons and the tank separately and fit them last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
