The Reskit GBU-38 in 1:32 scale is a resin accessory, four guided bombs of a smaller caliber for arming a model of a combat aircraft. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This package is not a model of an aircraft but an aftermarket resin accessory. According to the name it contains four GBU-38 bombs in 1:32 scale. A four-piece package makes sense: weapons of this caliber are carried several at a time on one pylon or on a multiple ejector rack, so a symmetrical and convincing armament for a whole aircraft can be put together, not just one lone example under the wing.
The GBU-38 is the JDAM in its lighter form, a guidance tail module and strakes fitted to a five hundred pound bomb. Compared with the two thousand pound variant it is noticeably shorter and slimmer, which shows well on a model when you set both sizes side by side. A mixed load with several smaller guided bombs is typical of modern tactical aircraft and looks more interesting on a model than two large examples.
The main advantage of resin for munitions is the absence of a parting seam: the body of the bomb is cast in one piece, so there is no filling and sanding of the seam, which on two-part plastic bombs usually destroys the engraved detail. Wash the mold release off the parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the cut surface wet. When gluing them to the pylons, help yourself with a drop of cyanoacrylate with an activator, so that the four pieces do not wander off the axis. Painting: primer, a light gray base, thin colored bands with a brush and finally a fine dusting, so that the munitions do not look as though they came off the production line.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
