Injection-molded plastic figure set German WWII Mechanics in 1:32 scale from Das Werk. The box contains three figures of German mechanics from the Second World War, suitable as ground crew alongside a piece of equipment. The figures round out a scene next to an aircraft or a vehicle and give it scale, life and context.
Mechanics and technical personnel formed the indispensable backbone of combat units: they took care of maintenance, repairs and preparing equipment for action. In 1:32 scale the figures suit aircraft and armor models of matching size, where they portray typical scenes from ground handling, servicing and repair. The poses of the crew help tell the story of a scene around a static model.
First separate the figures carefully from the sprue and clean up the mold seams and any flash. A primer and brush painting are recommended, and an airbrush helps on the larger areas. Bring the uniforms and flesh tones to life by layering shades, emphasize the recesses with a dark wash and the edges with a dry brush. Small accessories such as tools stand out when painted separately. Dry-fit the parts before gluing.
