The Grumman F4F Wildcat was the main carrier fighter aircraft of the US Navy in the first years of the war in the Pacific. It had a stocky fuselage and the main landing gear retracted into the fuselage, so the wheel track was narrow and the legs short. The FM-2 is a later lightened version of the same machine, built under license by the General Motors company. The wheels are clearly visible on both versions, because the model stands precisely on them, and in 1:32 scale they are among the largest visible details of the landing gear.

The type number distinguishes the individual forms within the range; which of them corresponds to your machine will be suggested by the manufacturer's instructions and by reference material on the real subject. The parts are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic models will not join them and the joint is held by cyanoacrylate glue. Which kit the set is a replacement for is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest, so that you do not damage the circumference of the tire. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Mask the rim with a circular mask or with narrow tape run around the circumference, or else paint the rim first and finish the tire with a brush. Fit the wheels only once the model has been sprayed. If they have a flattening suggested by the weight of the machine, turn them with the flattened area toward the ground, otherwise the model will give away that the wheel is sitting the wrong way round.
The set is for modelers who are bothered in a large scale by the coarser wheels from the kit. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
