AML paint masks 1:32 for the P-40C and P-39N aircraft in Soviet service — part V. A further installment of the popular line for modelers building American fighters with Soviet markings in a large scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fifth part of the line of paint masks from the Czech manufacturer AML in 1:32 scale returns to the proven pair of the Curtiss P-40C Tomahawk and the Bell P-39N Airacobra. Both types served with the Soviet Air Force under Allied deliveries and left a marked trace on the Eastern Front, with the Airacobra becoming the aircraft of a number of Soviet aces.
Plan the masks out before use: first the overall base colors, then the camouflage fields and finally the small items. Lift the individual masks off the backing with tweezers by the edge, not by the tip, as thin shapes stretch easily. Leave whatever you do not yet need on the original sheet, where the masks keep their tack and their shape, so the build can be spread over several evenings without any loss of quality.
Let the coats vent properly between colors and only re-mask onto a completely dry surface. Spray at lower pressure and square to the surface so that the overspray does not get under the edge. Leave the final light overspray and the weathering until all the masks have been lifted off.
A modeling accessory; the set does not contain the aircraft kit, paints or glue.
