A photo-etched set of interior parts for a model of the twin-engine Mosquito FB Mk.VI fighter-bomber in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The de Havilland Mosquito was among the most versatile British aircraft of the Second World War. The airframe was built largely of wood, which simplified production and lightened the structure, and the clean shape of the twin-engine machine gave it a speed that at first let it do without defensive armament. The FB Mk.VI version was the fighter-bomber variant: it carried fixed gun armament in the nose and could take further weapons under the wing. The crew consisted of two men sitting side by side, so the cockpit is clearly visible on a model of this aircraft.
Photo-etched metal parts for the interior of a model in 1:32 scale. Photo-etched parts are made from thin sheet and so manage thicknesses a plastic part cannot reach: the edges stay sharp and the fine rendering legible even after painting. The make-up of the parts and their placement in the cockpit are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface; never break them out. Make the bends in a bending tool or against the edge of a ruler and press along the whole length of the part at once. Metal is glued with super glue or epoxy; cement for polystyrene has no effect on it. Degrease the surface and apply a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth metal.
For modelers with building experience who want to get out of a large scale even what is visible only through an open canopy. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
