An injection-molded plastic kit of the British AEC Mk.II heavy armored car in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. The model is finely worked, with a large number of parts and delicate rendering, and it is meant to be glued and painted.
The AEC Armoured Car was a British heavy armored car of the Second World War. The Mk.II version was given a new turret with a 6-pounder gun, a reworked hull front and a more powerful diesel engine. Thanks to its strong armament and armor, its capabilities came closer to those of a light tank than of a conventional armored car. AEC Mk.II and Mk.III vehicles were also used in the fighting on the European mainland.
MiniArt wheeled vehicles tend to be richly broken up, so build in sub-assemblies and dry-fit the parts first. Glue with thin plastic cement and add the fine parts at the end. A primer, an airbrush for the base shade and weathering with washes and pigments for convincing dust and mud effects all pay off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
