An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. The model covers the Soviet BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle in the D version, with additional armor on the hull and the turret, as it was used in Afghanistan.
The BMP-2 is a Soviet tracked infantry fighting vehicle that combines mobility, protection for the crew and firepower thanks to its 30 mm automatic cannon and its anti-tank guided missiles. The D version received additional armor plates, which increased its resistance in the conditions of asymmetric fighting.
Finish the running gear and any interior before you close the hull up. For faithful weathering a primer, an airbrush and then washes and pigments work well, bringing out the mud and dust on the tracks and on the lower part of the vehicle. The additional armor plates offer a rewarding surface for wear effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
