Lifecolor Grease Effect is an acrylic shade for the oily traces of grease. It is applied to a model as one of the very last steps, once everything else is finished.

Grease comes to a model at the very end, at the moment the color layer is finished, the surface unified and nothing further will be applied over it. This shade aims at exactly that last step: at the dark oily traces around the places that are greased and oiled in reality.
The order matters more here than with an ordinary shade. First the ground, the main tone, the shadows and highlights, then the unification of the surface and the dust effects, and only at the end the spot oily traces. Applied earlier, the following layers will cover them or wash them out and the work will go to waste. It is applied over small areas with the tip of the brush, never over the whole part, and it is better to add gradually than to put a lot on at once. A model with grease everywhere looks neglected rather than used.
For modelers of military vehicles and machinery who are finishing the final phase and looking for a deliberate accent, not another all-over layer. It also serves on dioramas where it is meant to be clear at a glance which parts of a machine are in service.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, close it well after work and store the paint out of the reach of children.
