A generously equipped injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Takom. The package holds a large number of plastic parts, a photo-etched fret, clear parts, a steel cable and workable track links with connectors. Markings for several versions are available and the hatches can be built open or closed.
The Bergepanzer 2 is a German recovery and repair vehicle derived from the Leopard 1 tank. It serves for recovering stuck and damaged vehicles, for towing and for small repairs right in the field. It is fitted with a powerful winch, a crane and a dozer blade, which make it an indispensable support for the armored units of the Bundeswehr and of other Leopard users. The 2A2 version represents the upgraded standard of the vehicle.
On a recovery vehicle it pays to give time to the running gear and the detail of the hull before they are closed up. Assemble the workable tracks and let them dry before varnishing. For a convincing look, follow the base color with washes in the recesses and dust or mud pigments on the lower areas and the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
