A set of miniature gas masks in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Firma49. The parts are made in resin by high-resolution 3D printing (SLA). This is a diorama accessory, not a model in its own right.
A gas mask is a typical item of a twentieth-century soldier's gear. Hung at the belt, laid aside on the equipment or pulled over the head of a figure, it gives a scene period credibility and tension.
Wash the print resin residue off the resin parts and let them dry. Remove the print supports carefully and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Once the base has been applied, the detail of the mask comes out with a suitable shade of rubber and canvas, and a fine wash into the recesses helps at the end.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
