5 cm KwK 39 L/60 barrel for the Pz.Kpfw. III (Ausf. J late, L, M versions), 1:35 (Aber) is a turned metal replacement for the barrel of the long tank gun.

This detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale brings a precisely turned metal barrel for the German 5 cm KwK 39 L/60 tank gun. It is intended for models of the Panzer III in the Ausf. J (late), L and M versions. It is a detail accessory, not a standalone model.
A turned metal barrel is perfectly straight and round, with a crisp, hollow muzzle. The long L/60 gun gave the later Panzer III better penetrating power and is characteristic of these versions; a precisely rendered barrel gives a model a credibility that a multi-part plastic tube can hardly offer.
Deburr the metal part and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the surface before painting so that the paint holds; a finished barrel benefits from a thin coat, a light wash and a gentle dusting around the base of the weapon.
This is a detail add-on set, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
