The Feldgendarmerie was the field gendarmerie of the German armed forces, that is, the military police. Its members patrolled the roads, directed the movement of columns, checked papers and kept order in the rear behind the front. Its recognition mark was a metal gorget hung on a chain across the chest, which is clearly visible on the figure and immediately tells a diorama viewer what service this is.
The set brings plastic figures on sprues. The figures are broken down into torso, head and limbs, so within the limits of the way the parts are shaped they can be turned slightly and adapted to the intended scene. The polystyrene parts are joined with ordinary modeling cement for plastic; before building, sand down the mold seams that run along the arms and the legs.
Glue and fill the figure before you start painting it, otherwise the seam will stay visible under the paint. The proven procedure is a primer coat, flat shades of the uniform and equipment, a darker glaze into the folds and finally a careful highlight on the edges. Leave the metal gorget until last and paint it separately so it stands out against the cloth of the uniform with a bright metallic sheen.
The set belongs in a diorama with military vehicles, at a crossroads, by a pontoon or at a checkpoint, where the figures explain what is happening in the scene. The package contains figures only, unless stated otherwise; the vehicle, paints and glue are not included.
