1:35 German Fuel Drums (set no. 2) is the second set of Vallejo German fuel drums in 1:35 scale. It is not a model kit but a scenic prop extending the range of small diorama items.

The accessory belongs among scenic props, not among kits. The number in the name sets this set apart from the first series of German fuel drums in the same range — the two can be combined on a diorama, and it is precisely the variety of shapes and positions that gives a scene its credibility. The number of pieces and the make-up of the package are stated on the packaging of the set.
Most often they serve as supply material beside a vehicle, as the contents of a store or as clutter at the side of a road. A proven trick is not to place the drums regularly: a few standing, one lying across, one leaning slightly against a wall. Irregularity immediately reduces the impression of a set from a single mold, and the scene starts to look inhabited.
Do not paint all the drums the same. Divide them into two or three groups and take each one a different way: leave one almost new with a clean finish, make the second faded by the sun, the third weathered and dusty. Apply the paint with an airbrush in two tones from a darker bottom to a lighter top, so that the volume of the drum is optically rounded. With drums lying down, do not forget to soil the side that touches the ground — that is where most deposits form.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a model of a vehicle or figures. Paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
