The Bronco 1:35 plastic kit of the German DFS 230 B-1 assault glider with four paratrooper figures captures an unusual engineless aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Bronco in 1:35 scale. The subject is the German tactical assault glider DFS 230 in the B-1 version, completed with four paratrooper figures (Fallschirmjäger). The package holds plastic parts for the glider and the figures, to be assembled and painted. It is a combination of an engineless aircraft and the infantry that went with it.
The DFS 230 was a light German assault glider meant to put a party of soldiers down directly on the objective. It was used during the Second World War in airborne operations. It was towed by a powered aircraft and, once released, glided quietly to the landing place. The B-1 version was one of the combat forms of this machine. The enclosed figures complete the period scene.
Assemble the glider according to the instructions and glue the thin tube frame and the covering carefully with liquid cement for plastic. Weather the figures separately, ideally before the final composition. Spray the aircraft and the figures with an airbrush over a surfacer; late-war German shades are typical. Finish the whole with a wash and pigments so that it sits faithfully in a diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
