This set in 1:35 scale contains five injection-molded plastic figures of a German tank repair crew together with a set of working tools. In the Special Edition version the package is expanded precisely with richer accessories and tools, which bring any scene of maintaining an armored vehicle to life. The figures are captured in working poses while repairing a vehicle and are meant to be assembled and painted.
Maintenance and field repairs of tanks were among the key activities of the Second World War, on which the fighting ability of armored units depended. Mechanics worked with wrenches, mallets, jacks and other tools directly in the field, often under pressure and in makeshift conditions. Scenes like these are exactly what gives dioramas credibility and a story.
Clean the parts up and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. The work overalls come into their own with restrained soiling, oil stains and dust pigments. Pick the tools out in metallic shades with light rust. The composition works best together with a model of a tank and a field workshop.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
