Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German 2 cm Flak 30 light antiaircraft gun in 1:35 scale from Das Werk. The kit lets you assemble the gun at various elevation angles, so it suits dynamically conceived scenes and dioramas. It contains photo-etched parts, ammunition magazines and a hollow barrel with a muzzle brake made by slide mold technique. Take the exact contents from the instructions.
The 2 cm Flak 30 was one of the basic German light antiaircraft guns in 20 mm caliber, used throughout the Second World War. It served to defend against low-flying aircraft, but it also proved itself against ground targets and lightly armored vehicles. It was mounted on a towed carriage and on all manner of vehicles and vessels. It stood out for its rapid fire from box magazines and for its easy handling.
This is a gun, not a vehicle, so the build feels more like fine mechanics: assemble the carriage, the elevation and traverse gear and the crew seats carefully. Glue the thin photo-etched parts with super glue and the plastic with liquid cement. Let the hollow muzzle stand out and do not fill it with glue. A dark yellow or gray finish forms the base; washes into the recesses will add depth, bring the edges out with a dry brush and suggest dust and scorching at the muzzle with fine pigments. The gun works beautifully paired with figures of the crew.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, figures and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
