A turned folding 2 m rod antenna in 1:35 scale is a one-piece metal accessory for the early versions of the German Pz.Kpfw. II to IV tanks, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a single turned metal part, not a vehicle model. It replaces the plastic rod antenna on models of the early versions of the German Pz.Kpfw. II, III and IV tanks in 1:35 scale. The package contains one piece. The maker is the Polish firm MASTER.
A rod antenna two meters long was part of the standard radio equipment of German tanks of the Second World War. On the early versions it was mounted so that it could be folded down into a protective wooden trough on the side of the hull. The turret could then traverse without knocking the antenna over. It is precisely the folding mount and the base that set this antenna apart from later fixed renderings.
Plastic antennas from kits tend to be disproportionately thick because of the mold, and once taken off the sprue they often warp. Turned metal holds a straight line, which is plainly visible on a two-meter rod in 1:35 scale. Cut off the original plastic part, level the area and drill a hole of the matching diameter for the base. Glue the antenna on at the very end of the build, after all sanding and weathering, otherwise you will bend it against the bench. It is bonded with super glue or epoxy. Degrease the metal with alcohol before painting and use a primer, and only then lay on the covering shade. A finished antenna takes only very careful dusting with a soft brush.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
