A replacement hull of the Jagdpanther Ausf. G2 tank destroyer in resin in 1:35 scale, an accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panther tank. The fighting compartment was formed by a low structure with armor plates sloped to the rear, into which an 88 mm gun was built, one of the most effective antitank weapons of its day. A low silhouette and good mobility made it a feared opponent, but series production never reached the numbers planned. The designation Ausf. G2 belongs to a later production execution.
The hull of the vehicle in 1:35 scale, that is the main part which replaces the corresponding part of a kit. The material is resin. The extent of the set, the way it is seated and which parts of the kit remain in use are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not of polystyrene, so ordinary modeling cement has no effect on them. Use super glue, and with large seating surfaces rather a slower type, so that you have time to position the part. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Before painting, wash the hull in lukewarm soapy water and degrease it, otherwise the base color holds badly. Because of the size and the weight of the part it pays to put the whole thing together dry before you reach for the glue.
The set is aimed at modelers who want to build a particular production execution and do not want to rebuild a plastic hull by their own means. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
