A plastic kit of the MiniArt Land Utility Tractor Standard N Green Mod. 1940-41 in 1:35 scale, a British utility tractor in its period form.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from MiniArt in 1:35 scale captures the British Standard N general-purpose utility tractor in the Green version of 1940-41. It is an unassembled and unpainted model with a great many fine details; in this range MiniArt is known for a richly broken-up engine, chassis and fittings. The kit works as a stand-alone model and as a striking element in a diorama with period machinery.
The Standard N was a rugged British tractor with a gasoline engine, large rear wheels for good grip and simple, dependable mechanicals. During the Second World War it served in civilian and in military use alike: it towed trailers, fuel bowsers, lighter guns and engineer equipment, and it found work around airfields and in supply as well. The Green version matches the period utility form with its characteristic dark finish.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and clean them up; glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. It is worth assembling and painting the engine and the chassis before the whole is closed up. Use a primer and an airbrush for painting; the tractor looks rewarding with weathering, and washes in the recesses, dry brushing on the edges and dust or mud pigments on the chassis bring out the working character of the machine.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
