An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Leopard 2A6 main battle tank in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Meng. The model captures the characteristic appearance of the 2A6 version with its lengthened gun barrel and the wedge-shaped add-on armor of the turret.
The Leopard 2A6 is one of the key versions of the Leopard 2 family. Its most striking feature is the longer barrel of the 120 mm smoothbore gun, an L/55 gun barrel, which raises the muzzle velocity and the range compared with earlier versions with the L/44 barrel. The tank is powered by a powerful turbocharged diesel and belongs among the best of Western fighting vehicles; it is in service with a number of armies to this day.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear before closing the hull. Modern vehicles come out well with multi-layer spraying by airbrush, with transitions between shades, with fine washes into the recesses and with restrained weathering using pigments. Careful masking pays off when applying camouflage schemes.
