A figure in 1:35 scale representing a German Panzergrenadier on the Italian battlefield in 1944. Intended to be painted by the modeler, for a diorama and for a model of a vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
Panzergrenadiers were the infantry that accompanied tank units and moved with them on armored personnel carriers and trucks. They fought mostly in close proximity to the vehicles, which makes them a rewarding figure precisely alongside models of vehicles. The Italian battlefield of 1944 adds a setting of its own to that: stone villages, wrecked farmsteads and hilly terrain where advances were measured in meters.
A figure of a soldier in 1:35 scale, that is in the same scale as ordinary kits of military vehicles and diorama accessories. It will come in useful in a scene, beside a model of a vehicle and on its own in a display case. The number of parts and the way to assemble it are described by the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut away surplus material with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the area, so that the joint seats without a gap. Wash and degrease the figure before painting. Work from the primer through flat shades to shading and glazes, which bring out the folds of the cloth. German field uniforms will take muted gray-green tones; suggest the dust of Italian roads with a light pale tint on the boots and along the lower edge of the clothing. Leave the face for last and paint it in good light, because it is exactly by the face that a finished figure is judged.
For modelers who build German vehicles and scenes from the Italian campaign, and for collectors of figures. Paints, glue and other equipment are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
