This set from the Ukrainian manufacturer ResKit is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. It contains two 3D-printed resin storage baskets for the rear part of the hull of the Merkava Mk.3 tank, complemented by workable chains. Thanks to the fine printing, the mesh and the hangers read more realistically than the plastic parts from the base kit.
The Merkava is an Israeli main battle tank with its characteristic front-mounted engine and an emphasis on crew protection. The Mk.3 version received a more powerful gun, modernized armor protection and fire control. The metal baskets and the hanging chains at the rear serve to stow equipment and to set off incoming shaped-charge projectiles early.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate them carefully from the print supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Once the base Sinai Grey color has been painted, the baskets stand out with a dry brush and with pigments for the dusty cast of desert service.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
