Rubber-tired road wheels for the Merkava Mk.4 in 1:35 scale, twelve pairs, intended for the kits from Meng and HobbyBoss.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Merkava Mk.4 is an Israeli main battle tank with six road wheels on each side. Each of them is made up of two discs, so the whole running gear consists of twelve pairs. The vehicles also differ in which pattern of wheels they carry, and seen from the side that is one of the first differences a connoisseur notices.
The set brings twelve pairs of road wheels in the version with a rubber tire band around the rim. That is enough for twelve road wheels, that is six on each side of the vehicle. The wheels replace the parts from the Merkava Mk.4 kits from Meng and HobbyBoss in 1:35 scale.
First check from photographs which pattern of wheels the vehicle you are building carried. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down so that the wheel sits squarely on the axle. Plastic cement may not work on these parts; super glue holds reliably. Shade the rubber tire band away from the disc with a darker matte tone and paint the wheels before you fit them to the hull. Add the dust and mud only at the very end.
The set is for modelers who want the running gear of the Merkava in one particular pattern, and for anyone who does not feel like cleaning up twenty-four wheels from the kit.
The set completes a kit, which it does not contain. Paints and glue are not in the package unless stated otherwise.
