Colored three-dimensional elements for the cab interior of the Opel Blitz in 1:35 scale from Quinta Studio. The elements are briefly soaked in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
During the Second World War the Opel Blitz was one of the most widespread German trucks, and in dioramas it turns up more often than perhaps any other rear-area vehicle. The cab has large windows and a simple instrument panel, so on a model you can see well into it.
The set brings colored three-dimensional elements for the cab interior: the instrument panel, the trim panels and other inner surfaces. The elements are printed on a decal backing paper and slide off it into place once they have been soaked. The exact extent and the position of the individual elements are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the element from the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on gloss varnish, so paint the surfaces underneath beforehand, coat them with a gloss varnish such as Future or Tamiya X-22 and let them dry thoroughly. Guide the element into place with tweezers and press it down with a cotton swab from the center toward the edges; on a broken-up surface a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin.
The set is for modelers who build the truck into a diorama with the doors open or without the tarpaulin and who want a fully drawn cab without painting small details with a brush. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
