Precisely cast tools with photo-etched brackets for the Panther tank and the Jagdpanther tank destroyer in 1:35 scale refine the outside of a model where injection-molded plastic is not enough.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set for a pair of machines built on a shared chassis. The resin parts have crisper definition than plastic and the photo-etched components offer a thickness that injection technology cannot manage. The item serves to upgrade a model that you obtain separately.
The Panther was a German medium tank designed as an answer to Soviet equipment, and it was marked by sloped armor and a long 75 mm gun. On its chassis the enclosed Jagdpanther tank destroyer was created with an 88 mm gun, and its production stayed low because of air raids and shortages of raw materials. Both vehicles carried their pioneer equipment mainly at the rear and on the engine deck, because the sides were taken up by protective plates. Anyone who overlooks that difference will put the tools where they could not have hung on the real machine.
Clean the castings before a brush touches them, and level the casting remnants with a fine file. Shape the photo-etched straps over a round rod of matching diameter and attach them one at a time, so that they do not stick on crooked. A dark filter and fine dust in the form of pigment settled around the brackets will tie the finished piece together. If you are building a vehicle from the last months of the war, it is worth reaching for more muted shades and heavier weathering.
