Panzerkampfwagen Mk.IV 744(e) and the UE trailer is a plastic kit of the British cruiser tank A13 in German captured service together with a tracked trailer, in 1:35 scale from Bronco.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the British cruiser tank A13, which was taken as booty and used by the German army under the designation Panzerkampfwagen Mk.IV 744(e). The 1:35 scale model from Bronco also holds the tracked UE trailer and is rounded out by photo-etched sheet, cable and decals. Using the photo-etched parts is unavoidable on some assemblies.
The British A13 cruiser tank used Christie suspension with large road wheels and was built with the emphasis on speed. The Germans took a number of captured vehicles into their own service after the campaign in France (the letter e stood for erbeutet, meaning captured) and adapted them to their own standards. The small tracked UE trailer was derived from a captured French vehicle and served to carry cargo or fuel.
Assemble and fine-tune the Christie suspension and the tracks before the hull is finished; bond the photo-etched parts with super glue. Join the plastic with thin modeling cement, lay down primer and spray the shades with an airbrush. A captured vehicle offers interesting marking options; finish the surface with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
